The Cleveland Clinic Respiratory Institute announces its search for an individual to lead the Womens Lung Health Center, in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. The Director of the Womens Lung Health Center will establish and grow a multidisciplinary initiative to provide gender-specific expertise for women with a range of pulmonary conditions, in collaboration with the Center for Specialized Womens Health, Department of Maternal-Fetal medicine, and several other clinical institutes. Research focused on sex and respiratory disease, as well as education of trainees, will be integral to the mission of the Center. The Director will have the opportunity to work closely with investigators in the Lerner Research Institute (LRI), where active research is already underway in gender differences in asthma biology, pulmonary vascular disease, heart disease and other areas.

We are looking for a talented individual with a track record of performing original research and aptitude for delivering programmatic growth and innovating care delivery. The Department is particularly interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. This dynamic position commands a competitive salary enhanced by an attractive benefits package including medical malpractice coverage and a collegial work environment. The Institute offers generous start up and salary support, as well as world class facilities and core services. The successful candidate will also be nominated for a faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University at a rank commensurate with experience of Associate or Full Professor level. CCLCM is a five-year program that trains medical students to become physician investigators, integrating basic science, research and clinical medicine.
