We seek a health equity research leader and scholar at the associate or full professor level to develop and guide a dynamic and productive research agenda to eliminate health disparities and measurably improve well-being according to a communitys unique needs. The goal of Cleveland Clinics community health strategy is to create the healthiest communities for everyone in partnership with trusted organizations and stakeholders. We aim to reduce barriers to care through our care model focused on infant and maternal health, chronic disease prevention, behavioral health, and access to care. We also use an anchor institution strategy to improve community conditions in the areas we serve.

The Department is situated within Cleveland Clinic Community Care which provides primary care, hospital, and home-based care to over 1 million patients annually across Northeast Ohio. The department and research program have strong institutional support to advance the four priorities of the Cleveland Clinic: Care of the Patient, Care of the Caregiver, Care of the Community, and Care of the Organization. The Department has strong relationships to the Cleveland Clinic Center for Value-Based Care Research, the Lerner Research Institute, and investigators across the enterprise specialty institutes.

Training in community-based participatory research, qualitative methods, implementation science, large dataset analysis, or health services research is preferred. We are interested in applicants who are passionate about cross-disciplinary research and innovation. In particular, applicants interested in community partnered approaches to address health related social needs, social determinants of health, racism and health disparities, and well-being are encouraged to apply. New hires have access to exceptional clinical data sources, generous support and strong mentorship. For physician investigator candidates, practice and teaching opportunities are available--board certification is required.

Candidates will be expected to dedicate a majority of their time pursuing original research, publishing manuscripts, submitting grant applications to public and private funders, and mentoring junior investigators. Faculty appointments are available through the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
