Position Description
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, East Norriton, PA, is seeking a full-time AP/CP board certified pathologist.
Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is the first completely new medical center to be built in the southeastern Pennsylvania region, including the city of Philadelphia, in at least a decade, opening in 2012. Einstein Medical Center Montgomery provides many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. Located on 87 acres along Germantown Pike in East Norriton, PA, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery brings the exceptional experience of Einstein Healthcare Network to residents of central Montgomery County. Einstein Healthcare Network promotes wellness. Einstein campuses are Tobacco and Smoke Free.
Fellowship training (surgical pathology, cytopathology or hematopathology) and experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with others is required. Our group of 3 pathologists enjoys an excellent reputation, utilizes a generalist staffing model, and provides a full range of hospital-based anatomic and clinical pathology diagnostic services. Participation in several multidisciplinary conferences (i.e. Cancer Review Board, Breast Conference) is expected, and opportunities for teaching and collaborative research are available.
The Department receives approximately 6500 surgical specimens, 800 cytology specimens, and 420 FNA biopsies annually. Two full time cytotechnologists (both cross-trained in histology), two full time histotechnologists, and a full time cytology prep tech provide outstanding support and expertise. On call responsibilities are every third weekend.

Completion of an ACGME approved residency
Fellowship training (surgical pathology, cytopathology or hematopathology) and experience is preferred.
Board Eligible/Board Certification
Ability to Obtain PA medical license
