NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, located in the Bronx, accommodates more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital is renowned for The Trauma Center, staffed to treat any traumatic injury or illness, the fully accredited Breast Health Center, and The Burn Center, with more than 40 years of work in burn care. The hospital also serves patients of many other needs. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College of Yeshiva University.

We are currently accepting application for a Full-Time board certified/board eligible Pride Center Primary Care Physician in North Bronx.

Responsibilities:

The Pride Center at Jacobi Medical Center is seeing a medical provider to join our team serving our diverse LGBTQ+ population. The primary care provider will be responsible for providing comprehensive care in a sensitive, non-judgmental and inclusive manner to our LGBTQ+ patients. The provider will be expected to maintain familiarity with our clinical guidelines and current treatment protocols in areas such as transgender health, STI care and PrEP. Our pride center is a medical home for our patients providing an array of services including primary care, gynecologic and pelvic care, mental health, adolescent care and social support services. The practice is located in our state of the art ambulatory pavilion, adjacent to the inpatient facility in the northeast Bronx. We are a designated Level III Patient Centered Medical Home using clinical innovation to improve outcomes for our patients. Qualifications:

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Possess or eligible for a New York State Medical License
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to hire
