The Yale New Haven Health - Heart and Vascular Center and Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine seek candidates at the Assistant and Associate Professor level for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Completion of dual-training in cardiovascular medicine and critical care medicine with relevant experience managing patients requiring invasive hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical circulatory support devices is highly preferred. The CICU is a 14-bed, closed unit caring for patients with cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, and other acute cardiovascular care needs. Candidates would have clinical responsibilities overseeing a multidisciplinary team of medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers. Teaching responsibilities include teaching both in our formal didactic lecture program as well as in the informal teaching of trainees rotating through the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Candidates should have interest in building and/or contributing to the Section’s research and scholarly programs. Other duties may include quality improvement initiatives, optimizing delivery of care, and developing educational initiatives.
