THE DIVISION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES in the Department of Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School (HMS), is recruiting for two full-time providers to join our team as we significantly expand our clinical services at BIDMC and in the Beth Israel Lahey Health Network.

The first position will be supported jointly with the Infection Control/Hospital Epidemiology Division in the Silverman Institute for Health Care Quality and Safety. We are seeking a BC/BE infectious diseases physician at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level who would serve as an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at the BIDMC. Inpatient clinical responsibility with this position will be at the BIDMC with an outpatient clinical session at the Beth Israel Deaconess-Milton, a BIDMC-affiliated hospital.

The second faculty position will also be for a BC/BE infectious diseases physician at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level who will serve as the clinical director for our expanding OPAT program. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient/outpatient ID services at the BIDMC with additional inpatient clinical responsibilities at Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham, another one of the BIDMC-affiliated community hospitals.

The Division of Infectious Diseases includes 30 full-time members with academic appointments at Harvard Medical School. The division has a strong basic and clinical research mission, provides superb teaching to students, residents, and fellows, and provides outstanding clinical care on a busy inpatient service with both general ID and immunocompromised patients.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions, or any other characteristic protected by law.
