DESCRIPTION

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Cardiology is seeking a fellowship-trained Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) cardiologist boarded in Adult Cardiology. The ACHD program at LLUH has been expanding and was recently awarded accreditation by the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) as an ACHD Comprehensive Care Center. Our program works collaboratively with Adult and Pediatric Cardiologists to provide state-of-the-art care servicing a large population of ACHD patients in Southern California, particularly in the Inland Empire area. The ideal candidate would be interested in a hybrid role splitting time equally in ACHD and Adult Cardiology service.

The ACHD program at LLUH is a testimony to the success of the Cardiothoracic surgical team and the long history of congenital heart disease at LLUH led by Dr. Leonard Bailey who was the first to perform infant heart transplantation in the world. The commitment of the ACHD program at LLUH is to provide high-quality state-of-the-art care for our ACHD patients through a multidisciplinary team approach with a wide range of skilled experts including; ACHD specialists, Congenital Heart Disease Surgeons, Electrophysiologists with expertise in managing complex arrhythmias in ACHD patients, Cardiovascular imaging experts, Interventional Cardiologists, Advanced Heart Failure specialists, Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, Pulmonary Hypertension specialist, Hepatologists with expertise in managing liver disease commonly encountered in ACHD population, and Cardiovascular Geneticist.
