Oncologist

PCR Oncology is a 2-physician private practice based in Arroyo Grande that has been asked to expand into Templeton. We can hire one oncologist immediately. We anticipate hiring an extender in 3-6 months and a second oncologist in 1-2 years to serve the 90,000 people living in the north of San Luis Obispo County.

PCR Oncology offers a strong research program with NCORP membership and a growing pharmaceutical research program. We have achieved an excellent work-life balance with incomes approaching median for the state in our 2-person group. 

San Luis Obispo County offers excellent outdoor activities with the Pacific Ocean to the west, vineyards, wineries and farms on all sides. Cultural opportunities are available in the county as well as nearby Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and San Francisco. 

Since this practice is physician-owned, the physicians determine their workload and choose their support staff. We anticipate this opportunity will be of greatest interest to physicians dissatisfied with employment by large corporations, where physicians have little influence over these variables.
