Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology

Thomas P. Jacobs Endowed Chair

The Division of Endocrinology invites applications for the Thomas P. Jacobs Endowed Chair. The Chair was established through an endowment from Diana and P. Roy Vagelos to honor the memory of Thomas P. Jacobs, MD, a beloved clinician and educator in the Division of Endocrinology. Applicants will be considered at the level of Assistant/Associate/Professor, with a preference for promising early- and mid-career investigators. The position is focused on clinical care and education, but investigators with a research portfolio are encouraged to apply.  Responsibilities include developing a thriving medical practice at New York Presbyterian Hospital, coverage of the inpatient Endocrine Consult service, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Minimum Degree: MD or equivalent medical professional degree, MD/PhD

Minimum Qualifications: Must be board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology, and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York.

Subspecialty qualifications, such as thyroid biopsies, interpretation of DXA scans, or insulin pump/CGM technologies are desirable, but not required.

Applications will be accepted online at: apply.interfolio.com/97090
