Swedish Medical Group is seeking a board-certified Medical Director for Graduate Medical Education for a part-time (0.4 FTE) position in Seattle, Washington. This is a non-clinical role where you will be responsible for developing and implementing academic and research programs. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the institutional and program requirements for accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, as well as extensive academic experience through teaching hospitals and/or residency programs. Be part of a highly collegial and collaborative team working to ensure graduate medical education excellence in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Part-time 0.4 FTE non-clinical position
  • M.D. or D.O. degree required
  • Board certification in primary specialty required
  • 5+ years of demonstrated academic experience as a clinical educator
  • Experience in developing academic and research programs required
  • Experience with an accrediting body (ACGME, TJC, etc.) required.
  • Demonstrated leadership in medical education as an institutional leader
  • Experience with graduate medical education with a teaching hospital or residency program is required.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and/or faculty development is required.
  • Good understanding of the health care and future challenges affecting Graduate Medical Education (GME)
  • Demonstrated success in Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program and/or institutional accreditation preferred
  • Master's degree preferred (e.g. Faculty Development, Education, Administration, Public Health, and Clinical Quality Improvement)
