We are seeking an enthusiastic BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician who shares our vision of providing high-quality patient care and excellent resident education in a supportive environment. The candidate will join a well-established, busy, and experienced team of four physicians and one APP.
We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about the far reaching and multi-disciplinary impact of Infectious Diseases inpatient care. Someone who brings creativity, positivity, and a sense of purpose to their daily work. Great candidates should possess excellent communication skills and have an interest in practicing full spectrum infectious disease in a medically diverse patient population.
Diversity in pathology and complexity of care in infectious disease makes NGHS an ideal place to practice as well as teach ID to residents across multiple disciplines in our GME programs which include General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine. We have recently received accreditation for Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, and OB/Gynecology residency programs which will make NGHS the third largest GME program in the State of Georgia.
Most workdays provide an engaging balance of ambulatory clinic service and inpatient work, primarily adult general infectious disease as a consultative service. We work closely with hospital leadership on programs such as infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship.

- Desirable rotating schedule
- Locations in Gainesville and Braselton
- Inpatient Volume 16-18 per day including 4 - 6 consults
- 18-20 Per day during outpatient clinic
- Weekend coverage once per month
- Integrated Epic Healthcare System
- Hospital staffed 24/7 with Hospitalists and Intensivists
- Large catchment area of 1.2 million residents
Education, Training, & Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
- Ability to obtain an active medical license in the State of Georgia
- Must function well in a team environment, contributing to and supporting organizational goals and initiatives.
- Desire to participate in resident and student training required
