CARDIOLOGY-DIRECTOR OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Michigan is seeking a candidate for the position of Director for our Echocardiography section. Applicants must be board certified in cardiology and echocardiography and have COCATS 4 Level 3 training in echocardiography. Candidates should have experience in advanced echocardiographic techniques, including transesophageal and stress echocardiography, echocardiography during interventional procedures, 3D echocardiography, and strain imaging. The successful candidate will enunciate a strategic vision for echocardiography at Michigan Medicine and how to advance the field. There should be specific focus on the tripartite mission of patient care, research, and education.

The candidate must have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and be able to lead and inspire other cardiology faculty and interface with other cardiac imaging domains. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching and educational programs. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
