Nocturnist – LIJ Valley Stream

Northwell Health Department of Medicine seeks Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Physicians to join our Hospitalist Program at Northwell Health. Opportunities are available at LIJ Valley Stream Hospital for a full-time nocturnist position.

Position requires flexibility to alternate between regular nocturnist 8PM – 8AM shift and quarterly swing 4PM – 12AM shifts. At Valley Stream, Advanced Care Providers (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) are available for assistance during all shifts. No procedures required/Closed ICU. There are various learning and leadership opportunities available to physicians interested in advancement. This is an exciting time to join our team as the Hospital Medicine Division continues to develop and grow at LIJ Valley Stream and throughout Northwell Health.

Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, a member of Northwell Health, is a 284- bed community hospital offering a comprehensive array of programs and services to patients from Nassau and Southeastern Queens Counties. It has one of the most advanced Emergency Departments in the region. The hospital is home to a state-of-the-art 120-bed facility known as Northwell Health Orzac Center for Rehabilitation. This facility houses the hospital's long-term care and rehabilitative medicine department and the medically oriented Adult Day Health Care Program.
