Summit Health is actively recruiting for a BC/BE Ophthalmologist to join our team.
Summit Health includes more than 140 providers and 30 specialties and services providing care to over 45,000 attributed lives in Central Oregon and is launching the community's first full spectrum Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in 2022. Summit Health is Central Oregon's largest multispecialty group and is a for-profit, physician led practice with multiple locations in Bend, Redmond and Sisters.
The ideal candidate will be a well-trained, comprehensive ophthalmologist proficient in medical retina, cataract surgery (with considerable opportunity for premium lenses) and medical/laser/MIGS treatment of glaucoma. Fellowship training in medical retina preferred. The incoming ophthalmologist will see 25-35+ patients a day and practice and enjoy a mix of general ophthalmology and medical retina, joining a clinic composed of a fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon, cataract/cornea surgeon, and two optometrists, with plans for continued practice growth in the coming years.
Surgeries are performed in a highly efficient, physician-owned Surgery Center. Call responsibilities are very reasonable, with general ophthalmology/trauma call shared with the other general ophthalmologists in the community. The main regional hospital is within walking distance from the main eye clinic.
