Primary Care Physician LOCAL to Los Angeles Needed Cross Country Locums

Cross Country Locums is seeking Primary Care Physician Partners to assist with COVID-19 Outbreak mitigation throughout Los Angeles. This position is not treating patients directly. Instead this is a work from home position (highly administrative in functionality) and does also require onsite visits to locations throughout Los Angeles where COVID cases have increased to create an outbreak. Outbreak could be considered 5 cases to 100 cases as examples. Locations that outbreaks might occur as examples: restaurants, corporate locations, sporting teams, schools, churches, homeless camps, etc. The position entails being assigned cases for which the physician plays the team lead to support the location with the outbreak to follow COVID protocols and get the case count back down. Physicians with backgrounds in public health and/or infection control get prioritized in selection. Any patient contact for the COVID positive cases is managed by nursing staff while the physician works with administration at the location both remotely for guidance as well as in person. This position is M-F with site visits potentially being needed anytime M-Sunday. It is an 8 hour a day expectation with attendance of many team meetings via Zoom. Coverage is likely to last up to 6 months. There is no permanent placement opportunity as this is funded from the CDC to enhance detection, response, surveillance, and prevention of COVID-19.

Scope of Work:
Provide support and clinical consultation to Investigation team.
Particilate in conferences and cohort review as well as assit in providing feedback to field staff.
Serve as a consultant for COVID-19 outbreak investigation sites.
Work collaboratively with and provide consultation to members of the investigation team to ensure quality care and timely disposition of issues.
Determine when an outbreak meets closure criteria and sign paperwork accordingly
