UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions, and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. The Medical School enrolls 230 students per class and 1 in 6 Texas physicians have trained at UTMB.
UTMB also provides medical services through our Community Based Clinics (CBC’s) which are located along the I-45 corridor in the cities of: Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City, Webster, Texas City, Galveston, and Angleton.
The UTMB Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences:
The UTMB Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is actively recruiting exceptional psychiatrists to join our well-established Psychiatry Department. Faculty opportunities are available in both Adult as well as Child and Adolescent settings. Outpatient only positions are available, and all positions include excellent incentives. Some of the faculty responsibilities include direct patient care, telemedicine clinics, resident mentorship/supervision, and medical student teaching.

Income Package: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications, experience, educational background, and Academic rank. These positions also include an obtainable RVU bonus package with incentives exceeding $25,000.
