University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) – South Houston/Galveston, Texas
UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions, and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. The Medical School enrolls 230 students per class and 1 in 6 Texas physicians have trained at UTMB.

UTMB also provides medical services through our Community Based Clinics (CBC’s) which are located along the I-45 corridor in the cities of: Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City, Webster, Texas City, Galveston, and Angleton. 

The UTMB Department of Family Medicine is actively recruiting an experienced Family Medicine Faculty physician with OB and an interest in mentoring, supervising, and training UTMB residents. Interested candidates will provide primary health care to patients including OB, vaginal deliveries, and women’s health issues. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most respected and established Family Medicine Academic Faculty Departments in the state, with plenty of room for growth and advancement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • 2-3 Years of Clinical or Academic experience is preferred.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine with OB.
  • Texas State Medical License.

Income Package: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications, experience, educational background, and Academic rank. This position also includes an obtainable RVU bonus package, a superior benefits package, an excellent retirement program, a relocation allowance, as well as other potential incentives.
