IU Health Physicians - Clinical Pathologist in Transfusion Medicine and Apheresis (Central Pathology

The Department of Pathology at IU Health Physicians and The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine are jointly recruiting a pathologist for the Division of Transfusion Medicine and the Division of Apheresis Medicine and Cellular Therapy. The position is open to pathologists with or without an interest in pursuing an academic career in pathology. The position is on the clinical track; academic rank is determined by qualifications and level of experience.

Job Summary:

The Divisions are responsible for transfusion services, apheresis as well as cellular therapy processing and adult collection facilities. The Pathology group serves ten hospitals, including IU Health Methodist Hospital, IU Health University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, IU Health West Medical Center, IU Health North Medical Center, IU Health Saxony, IU Health Arnett Hospital, IU Health White County, the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, and Eskenazi Health. Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. Applicants must have strong clinical skills and a commitment to the academic mission of the School of Medicine and IU Health. Experience in apheresis medicine is highly desirable. Experience in clinical research is desirable but not required. Certification by the American Board of Pathology in clinical pathology is required as is board eligibility or certification in the subspecialty of blood banking/transfusion medicine.
