University of Louisville Physicians (ULP) is seeking two board-certified/board-eligible cardiologists to join as Non-Invasive/General Cardiologists. A competitive salary (450K+) plus potential productivity bonus is offered in addition to a robust recruitment package. 

ABOUT THE POSITION

The appropriate candidate will have clinical interests in consultative and outpatient cardiovascular care with flexibility to also practice cardiovascular critical care and non-invasive imaging. Noninvasive imaging (echo, MRI, CT, Nuclear, etc.) will be an important part of this job depending on the candidate's skill set. Applicants must possess or be eligible for Kentucky licensure. This position offers a unique opportunity in clinical medicine and education.

UofL Cardiology has a robust academic department consisting of specialists in all subdivisions of Cardiology including electrophysiology and complex ablations, interventional and structural cardiology, heart failure & transplant/mechanical device support, ECMO, complex cardiac and aortic/vascular surgery, cardio-oncology, preventive cardiology, and advanced imaging.

Research initiatives will be encouraged and candidates will be expected to establish an academic portfolio and an area of expertise. Fellow and resident education is an integral component of the job. There are opportunities for academic advancement and leadership in committees depending on the level of interest and performance.


The division is expecting strong growth and recruitment over the next 2-3 years and as such is poised to become a regional leader in cardiac service line delivery and patient volumes. There is strong financial backing and commitment from the university to achieve its educational, research, and clinical care missions.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine; board certification in cardiology, and eligibility for licensure in Kentucky are required.
