Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is recruiting for a licensed Physician to support Occupational Medicine onsite and near-site services as a float medical provider. The provider will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care and customer service, performing examinations and evaluations, delivering diagnoses and treatment plans, follow-up consultations, care coordination, and care management, and health education for adult patients. The provider will utilize comprehensive electronic medical records (EPIC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-placement examinations
  • Perform and coordinate medical surveillance examinations
  • Review and communicate exam results and clearances
  • Perform fitness for duty evaluations and examinations
  • Assess, treat, and document all employee injuries/illnesses
  • Provide first aid services
  • Provide return to work evaluations and examinations
  • Perform Wellness Examinations/Consults
  • Maintain confidential medical records in EMR (EPIC)
  • Assist with coordination and follow-up of medical care and referrals
  • Assist with immunization programs
  • Provide educational seminars, lunch, and learns as needed
  • Duties performed should provide the highest level of patient satisfaction and maximize employer satisfaction
  • Assist Medical Director with clinic reports, performance metrics, and utilization
  • Provide medical supervision of mid-levels if needed
  • Other assignments, projects, and duties as needed

Primary Care:
  • Provide basic primary care medical services; refer the employee to the personal physician when necessary

Special Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of medical policies and procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Skilled in maintaining quality assurance and quality control standards
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of EPIC EMR, computer systems, and applications
  • Ability to supervise staff, solve problems and make decisions exercising judgment and initiative
  • Desire and ability to work collaboratively with the employer to positively impact the health of the employee population
  • Bilingual; Preferred fluency in English andSpanish
  • Licensed in the State of Texas.

Position Details:
  • Monday - Friday as designated by site/project
  • Hours: 8am-5pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, or 6am start as designated by site/project
  • Occasional travel needed

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years related work experience in Occupational Medicine
  • 1+ years related work experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Preferred: experience with OSHA Regulated Exams
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Public Health and General Preventive Medicine
  • Unrestricted license and ability to practice in Texas
  • Current prescriptive Authority
  • BCLS
  • Preferred: Department of Transportation (DOT) certified
