FRANCISCAN HEALTH OLYMPIA FIELDS – FACULTY HOSPITALIST OPPORTUNITIES

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Influence the future: Teach IM residents! Specialty Physicians of Illinois is seeking an experienced Board Certified, Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our IM Residency teaching faculty in Olympia Fields, IL. Franciscan Health Olympia Fields is a busy, community-based teaching hospital. Enjoy teaching in a community hospital setting with no publishing requirements.

WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidates are Internal Medicine physicians who want to be a part of the Hospitalist Program in Olympia Fields, IL, as Faculty Hospitalists. Faculty positions require a minimum of three years of Internal Medicine resident teaching experience. Candidates must display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Schedule:  7 On/ 7 Off; 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Inpatient volume: 15 - 18 patients per day as subject to GME caps
• Closed ICU: Code Blue response not required
• Dedicated Observation Unit
• Must have three years of teaching experience post residency
• ACLS/BLS required
• Internal and external moonlighting permitted
• 12 Fellowship/Residency Programs at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields in addition to IM
• ​​A Capital investment of $170 million campus renovation of the Olympia Fields hospital
  • 214-beds, support from major specialties and sub-specialties
  • ​​Closed 31-bed ICU
