Psychiatrist for Eval & Admissions (Full-Time 12p-8p)

We are seeking a full-time attending psychiatrist (M-F: 12p-8p) to provide clinical leadership and direct care for our busy Evaluation and Admissions unit at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skillset appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.
Job Requirements: NYS License to practice medicine, ACGME approved residency training with Board eligible in Psychiatry required, Board Certified in Psychiatry preferred. Excellent communication skills required. Experience preferred but new graduates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills are encouraged to apply.
South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border on Long Island.
