Job Details

Cleveland Clinic, Department of Hospital Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio seeks Hospitalists to work at various Clinic hospitals in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area (Main Campus, Hillcrest Hospital, Fairview Hospital, Medina Hospital, Avon Hospital, and Marymount Hospital). Hospitalists administer direct care to adult hospitalized patients; consult on hospitalized patients; discuss findings with other medical practitioners; evaluate patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery and outline the preoperative risks; optimize chronic conditions and prepare evidence-based recommendations for patients; coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care; provide support and direction to the management process for patients; optimize short stay models and care pathways to facilitate effective patient flow; ensure that coordination and safe care is being provided in a timely and efficient process; and setup effective liaison with administrative, medical, and nursing staff to facilitate prompt management. Evening and weekend on call responsibilities as needed. Position requires MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine, eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio, and completion of a three year residency in Internal Medicine.
