Position Description

The Department of Radiology of the Einstein Healthcare Network seeks a Section Chief for the division of Abdominal Imaging. This section of > 9 faculty provides complete abdominal imaging services including dual-energy CT, ultrasound, MRI and fluoroscopy.

Einstein Healthcare Network is a private, not-for-profit organization with three major inpatient facilities, including Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park (including the Moss Rehabilitation Center), and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, and several outpatient imaging centers. The Philadelphia campus is a level 1 trauma center and a center of excellence for liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation. The radiology department, which is fully integrated across all sites, includes 3 resident training programs and a clinical radiographer program. A recent merger into the Thomas Jefferson University System will provide further clinical and research opportunities.

The ideal candidate should possess the operational and leadership skills to oversee the clinical, educational and research functions of this section, with oversight for faculty, radiology residents and technical staff. The Section Chief of Body Imaging reports to the Department Chair of Radiology. Prior experience in leadership positions and faculty mentorship is highly desirable. Clinical aspects of the section include: real time ultrasound scanning, ultrasound contrast and elastography, peripheral vascular ultrasound, dual energy CT, prostate and rectal MRI and full fluoroscopy services.

Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of clinical experience in abdominal imaging, ABR certified, ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments.

Department description: 6 MR scanners (2 with 3T), 9 CT scanners with iterative reconstruction (1 dual energy) and state of the art Philips Epiq ultrasound equipment, web based Fuji PACS with internal radiology IT team, home workstations with flexible hours and a software systems including Nuance, Vocera, Qgenda, Montage and AI collaborations with several companies.
