Chief of Pediatrics
The incoming Chief of Pediatrics will provide clinical, administrative and academic leadership while maintaining a clinical Primary Care Pediatric practice. The Chief will have oversight of the staff delivering high quality pediatric primary care services and also oversee the educational programs for Harvard medical students and Pediatric residents on rotation from Mass General Hospital. CHA is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and this position will have a clinical appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital. Candidate must qualify for faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of post residency experience, 5 years of progressive leadership experience, and a successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff within a Primary Care setting. Successful experience in interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary. Candidates must have excellent clinical and communication skills and possess a strong commitment to our underserved, multi-cultural patient population. Experience with developing and overseeing graduate and undergraduate medical education programs is strongly preferred. Previous employment in an academic, safety net system is a plus.
