Clinical Professor of Cardiology Non-Invasive or Advanced Non-Invasive All Ranks, Non-tenure Track

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is recruiting a full-time, board-certified, or board-eligible Cardiologist. We are a dynamic and collegial group of 18 academic cardiovascular specialists who are part of a major academic health system at University Hospital and have a strong affiliation with the adjacent Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. The Division supports five outreach locations within a 75-mile radius of Columbia. We have a dedicated clinical research trials team that supports the Division’s growing clinical trials component. We have 16 positions in our accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, as well as an accredited Interventional Fellowship program and an accredited Clinical Electrophysiology Fellowship Program.

Job Details:

  • 90% Clinical position
  • Opportunity for fellow teaching depending on the level of experience
  • Call: 4-5 days of home consult call; TEE call same frequency
  • In-house cardiology fellow present
  • Full resident team support with nurse navigator and NP
  • Patient service around 12-14 weeks per year, with a census of 12-18
  • State-of-the-art facilities for performing echocardiography, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and nuclear cardiac imaging

Research: Opportunities are available for those interested, to include protected time, if/when funded.

Compensation Structure: Base salary plus incentive (productivity, quality, and organizational citizenship based).

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO Board-eligible or board-certified
  • All applicants must be licensed in MO or eligible for licensure in MO
  • Successful completion of ACGME accredited fellowship programs.
  • The successful candidate must also have a strong interest in direct patient care.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in academics, military, private practice, as well those from diverse ethnicities and cultures are encouraged to apply!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interests in clinical teaching and/or research
  • Additional advanced training in Echo, TEE, CT, and/or MRI reading
