This position is out-patient only, has both clinical and administrative responsibilities and reports to the Executive Chair of Internal Medicine/Family Medicine. In this role, the ideal candidate will provide strategic clinical and operational leadership for our growing family medicine program. An essential focus of this role is the development of the Family Medicine department through provider recruitment and launching new Family Medicine practice sites across our geography. In addition, this position will set the vision, metrics and standards to ensure consistency in the delivery of high quality care throughout our family medicine practices. This newly created role will partner with primary care clinical leadership to design/implement a cohesive and structured professional development training for Family Medicine providers in the Primary Care Service Line,

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high quality, evidenced based medicine in a team environment. This position includes both administrative and clinical responsibilities but does not have any direct reports.

Ideal candidates will possess:
  • BC family medicine
  • Possess 5 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical expertise and professional leadership to Family Medicine providers within the service line
  • Exceptional clinical/communication/ interpersonal skills required so as to engage, mentor and motivate staff
  • Ability to serve as a resource and content expert on Family Medicine related activities such as, but not limited to, recruitment, practice analysis, orientation, and health policy issues.
  • Interest and passion about growing family medicine throughout Atrius Health
  • Experience with provider recruitment and interest in developing/cultivating relationships with residency and training programs
  • Successful track record as being a creative thinking, developing new & innovative programs
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Internal Medicine and Pediatrics as well as other clinical specialty and administrative leaders thought out the practice
  • Ability to work well within and foster a culture of team based care.
