We are currently recruiting for a Chair of Behavioral Health.

Behavioral Health Department
  • Consists of over 100 multidisciplinary clinicians (MDs, PhDs, NPs and LICSWs) who are fully integrated in many of our practices
  • Works collaboratively across multiple specialties.
  • Community based outpatient practice which serves a diverse and growing patient population.
  • Atrius Health Behavioral Health Fellowship Program, emphasis on evidenced based care & research.
  • First prize recipient in the 2017 Massachusetts Hospital Association Accountable Care Compass Awards.

Opportunity highlights:
  • Reports to Chief Medical Officer.
  • Position will have both administrative and clinical responsibilities.
  • Provides overall direction for the Department, including but not limited to clinician recruitment, performance management and staff retention.
  • Directs and actively involved with quality improvement, utilization, patient safety and patient risk management activities.
  • Orchestrates professional development of department chiefs and communicates effectively on organizational and departmental goals and strategies.
  • Plays a critical role in the advancement of our strategic goal of integrating behavioral health into primary care as well developing other practice models, such as expanding virtual care modalities.

  • Board Certified Psychiatrist (Adult or Child)
  • 7-10 years of progressive management and leadership experience in a large multi-site delivery system.
  • Successful track record of program development, innovation, leadership, particularly as an agent of change.
  • Demonstrative ability to collaborate effectively across all specialty areas with clinical and administrative senior leadership.
  • Substantial knowledge of Behavioral Health delivery models and standards of care.
  • Exceptional clinical and interpersonal abilities required.
  • Advanced degree and familiarity with teaching programs is preferred.
  • Proven ability to provide high quality care, supportive counseling in the ambulatory setting.
