Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Director of Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at North Shore University Hospital’s Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital. Northwell Health Cardiology has seen tremendous growth in Long Island and across all of New York, and has a thriving, multi-disciplinary, advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation program. The team includes heart failure cardiologists and surgeons, trainees, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, as well as pharmacy, behavioral health, social work, and nutritional services, who work together to provide comprehensive, integrated care and wellness services. We offer the full spectrum of care to advanced heart failure patients, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing, hemodynamic monitor implantation, LVAD and transplant, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, and participation in investigator-initiated and sponsored clinical trials. North Shore University Hospital is the only Long Island hospital to offer cardiac transplantation and has the fastest growing LVAD program in the region.

This is a full-time, academic, leadership position with vast clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in advanced heart failure with at least five years of experience. The candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell/Hofstra commensurate with experience and academic credentials.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
