The Interventional Heart Failure Fellowship is a one-year program which continues to accept applications from highly qualified physicians who have completed their board eligibility in Interventional Cardiology. We are currently interviewing for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ideal candidate must have successfully completed a three-year residency in an ACGME accredited Cardiovascular Disease Program, a one-year fellowship in an ACGME accredited Interventional Cardiology program, and should be certified or eligible for certification in Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Currently, one (1) fellow is accepted each year for this one-year fellowship, chosen by our program leadership.

This program is currently TMB accredited in the Interventional Heart Failure Cardiology specialty. The Interventional Heart Failure (IHF) Fellowship is an additional one-year of in-depth training, beyond interventional cardiology training. The primary objective of the this fellowship program is to provide qualified physicians with a balanced, structured, and scholarly experience in the emerging field IHF. The IHF fellow will gain a deeper understanding of heart failure and shock physiology, diagnosis, and management with further technical training related to device implementation, selection, and management for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, in need for high risk coronary revascularization or structural interventions.
