Job Details

Established 11-physician Neurology group practice with five offices throughout greater Phoenix area is seeking additional Neurologists for market expansion and increasing patient volumes. Movement Disorder training highly preferred. All offices are well staffed and equipped. EEG/EMG services include equipment and technicians on site; EMG machines available for Infusion treatments. EEG, EMG, Carotid US done in house. All neurologists in the group have both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities. Although not the primary admitter, the neurologists round on patients and consult with the internal medicine/hospitalist teams.

Neurologists work 9am-5pm M-F. Weeknights and weekend call is rotated with the other neurologists in the group. Typically take one week of hospital call at a time and three weeks of after-hour telephone call for existing patients. Daily patient census is generally up to 20 per day in clinic. New physician must be comfortable with: movement disorders, EMG, EEG, Botox, occipital injections, and neuro hospitalist epilepsy monitoring. 

Candidates must be BC/BE in Neurology, ideally fellowship-trained, and able to perform EEGs and EMGs. Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates are a plus. Movement disorder experience is highly preferred. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

The practice has a very collegial environment which allows a provider the practice autonomy many seek. It touts an established patient base in a growing market for Neurology. The recent population growth has allowed the practice to reap the benefits of increased services and access for patients. The group provides compensation and benefits. Its reputation in the community is highly favorable and patients have become loyal to the providers and staff. 

A successful candidate will be motivated, be responsive to patient needs, and have the desire to build a practice relatively quickly. Hospital rounds optional but would also allow for additional relationship building with physicians, leadership, and patients. Our group of physicians who believe in the team-based approach to patient care, are respectful of others, and are accountable for their choices and outcomes. It is also requisite that the physician is comfortable and capable of navigating care in an electronic medical record environment. In addition, we are seeking individuals with special interest in treating all age groups including Medicare patients, palliative care, and promoting optimal health through evidence-based wellness, primary prevention, disease management, complex care management, and palliative care interventions.
