Full-Time Nocturnist (Night Adult Hospitalist) - Danbury, Connecticut (70 miles from New York City) - Generous Hiring Bonus and H-1B may be available

Nuvance Health is seeking a full time Nocturnist/Night Adult Hospitalist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut to join our established and busy program. We are located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. Position is a NIGHT schedule from 8 PM – 8 AM with two weekends per month and is an employed position with Western Connecticut Medical Group. There is a flexible schedule pattern of either 7 on/7 off or 5 on 5 off. We offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary plus quality incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues and includes paid time off. Generous Hiring Bonus may be available. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Job Summary:

Provide medical care to inpatients, assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.

Job Requirements:

• MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
• Preferred: Prior experience as a staff physician or Hospitalist but new Residents are encouraged to apply
• Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Willingness to work primarily at Danbury Hospital with some shifts at New Milford Hospital. Flexible and variable 12-hour shifts 8 PM – 8 AM including about 2 weekends per month for a total of about 15 shifts per month. There is a flexible schedule pattern of either 7 on/7 off or 5 on 5 off.
