Job Details

Providence is seeking an experienced leader and educator to serve as the Executive Director of Graduate Medical Education across their large integrated health care system, with programs currently existing in 5 facilities across the state. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of the ACGME residency training programs, assisting program directors (PDs) to ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. This position will also assist Dental residency PDs in compliance with CODA accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. The Executive Director acts as a liaison between the PDs, Hospital Administration, residents, participating sites and other departments. Must also maintain knowledge of patient care and operational activities at the various training sites in which residents rotate. The Executive Director will be responsible for leadership of the clinical research department based at Sacred Heart Medical Center and for oversight of the CME program. Required experience/education for this position include:
  • MD, DO or non-physician who has corresponding experience leading or managing such programs.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Washington
  • 7 years of leadership experience in a Graduate Medical Education (GME) program or leadership in an area with transferable skill set
  • 7 years of experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
  • Knowledge of the principles of ACGME regulations. Familiarity with the common program, specialty specific and institutional requirements
