The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine seeks an ABOS certified (or eligible) orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and upper extremity to join the Department at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Academic rank and salary will commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in the areas of clinical care and surgery, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic needs of the department. It is expected that the hired individual contribute to clinical and/or basic science research within the hand and upper extremity division. The ideal candidate will have a record of academic productivity and scholarly work; have demonstrated competency in managing complex cases, and an interest in teaching residents and fellows.

Clinical focus and research experience in Nerve Regeneration and/or Pediatrics and Brachial Plexus is desired, but not required.

This position will be an integral part of the hand and upper extremity division in the Duke Department of Orthopedic Surgery. The majority of the practice associated with this position will take place in Durham, with potential to expand the practice into Wake County.
