University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute in Cleveland, Ohio is looking to recruit an exceptional academic Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor Level in the Department of Medicine, Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. The candidate should be BC/BE in both Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. The position will include opportunities at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, the system’s 1,032-bed flagship tertiary-care hospital.
The candidate will be responsible for outpatient and inpatient care of patients with advanced heart failure, including evaluation and management of heart transplantation, and both acute and durable mechanical circulatory support. We are especially interested in candidates with interests and experience in the fields of cardiac amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and/or cardio-oncology. Opportunities to perform invasive hemodynamic studies, endomyocardial biopsies, and implantation of PA pressure monitors exist. Candidates with mature interests in clinical/translational research, or in a clinician educator track are encouraged to apply.
