University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) – South Houston/Galveston, Texas
UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions, and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. The Medical School enrolls 230 students per class and 1 in 6 Texas physicians have trained at UTMB.

UTMB also provides medical services through our Community Based Clinics (CBC’s) which are located along the I-45 corridor in the cities of: Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City, Webster, Texas City, Galveston, and Angleton. 

UTMB Health Community Based Clinics (CBCs):
UTMB Health Community Based Clinics (CBC’s) are located throughout the south Houston area and on Galveston Island. UTMB is actively recruiting qualified Family Medicine Physicians interested in working in our Community Based Clinics. These clinics offer a unique practice experience with exceptional patient care and support. The ideal candidates should minimally possess an MD/DO or equivalent and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in their respective field of medicine. This is an Outpatient only clinical Faculty opportunity where Academic rank is based on qualifications and experience. All residents and in-practice physicians are encouraged to apply! The positions do not qualify for J-1 Visa support. 

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification.
  • Texas State Medical License.

Income Package: Salary will be a competitive $210,000.00 and includes an obtainable RVU bonus package with incentives exceeding an additional $25,000.00 on average. In addition, UTMB offers a superior benefits package, an excellent retirement program, a relocation allowance as well as other potential incentives.
