The candidate will work as an independent investigator, physician, and instructor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to execute experimental protocols in the field of immunometabolism; compose and present the results for presentations, meetings, manuscripts, and grant applications; mentor and teach student researchers; perform advanced data analysis; and lead research groups. The research seeks to identify the role of fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) in obesity immunometabolic disorders and its possible applications to treat autoimmune disorders.
Minimum Requirements: MD and at least five years of postdoctoral training in basic science.
Additional requirements: ABIM Internal Medicine Board Certification; ABIM Endocrinology Board Certification; and ability to help expand our research efforts and establish an immunometabolism center consisting of basic and translational research labs, multidisciplinary patient clinics, and a clinical research program.
