Bassett Healthcare Network, a rural academic health system based in historic Cooperstown, NY and major teaching site of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is excited to announce a new three-year cardiology fellowship has been initiated with our inaugural fellowship class. Two outstanding candidates will be selected from ERAS to join our second fellowship class starting in July, 2022.

Fellows will primarily be based at Bassett Medical Center with the opportunity to complete key rotations at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Our fellows will receive outstanding clinical and research training at Bassett Healthcare, one of the nation's best rural healthcare systems, as well as experience training at Columbia in one of the nation's best urban academic medical centers. Bassett Healthcare offers a robust clinical experience with cutting edge experience, including a structural heart disease program with TAVR, left atrial appendage closure, 3 Tesla cardiac MRI, broad range of noninvasive imaging, interventional and electrophysiology procedures, as well as a track record of presenting research at national cardiology meetings. Cardiology research activities are supported by the Bassett Research Institute on campus. Our faculty is committed to training cardiology leaders of the future.
