About the Position: The surrounding community is comprised of the towns of Leesville, DeRidder, New Llano, and Anacoco. The nearest cities are Alexandria (45 miles northeast) and Lake Charles (55 miles south). The area is considered rural with the Kisatchie National Forest, which offers hunting and recreational activities, located nearby. Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Manage the operation and management of a Joint Commission Program for a hospital.
  • Understand a wide range of healthcare quality and systems management such as principles, concepts, and methodology related to performance improvement.
  • Interprets Joint Commission regulatory standards in order to provide advice to staff.
  • Develop new methods to support Joint Commission compliance.

Who May Apply: US Citizens

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) analyzing basic statistical management or economic principles or techniques related to Joint Commission; (2) understanding a wide range of principles, concepts, and methodologies related to process improvement or healthcare quality and systems management; AND (3) implementing changes regarding the Joint Commission Program thru items such as planning, evaluating, coordinating, reviewing, or inspecting the facilities.
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.
