Northwell Health Surgery Service line is recruiting a surgeon that specializes in Wound Care. This is a full-time academic faculty position located in Lake Success, NY. Privileges with the opportunity for appointment and advancement at the Donald and Barbara Zucker Medical School at Hofstra/Northwell. Privileges would be granted at Northshore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital for any operative procedures and rounds with the wound care team. Candidates will be responsible for covering wound and hyperbaric ambulatory clinic. Full hospital benefits apply. No weekend or inpatient call schedule. Research opportunities are available.

The Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center at Lake Success is committed to healing patients with acute and chronic wounds while relieving suffering and minimizing wound-related complications. The nationally recognized staff of doctors and nurses is dedicated to treating all patients, using advanced modalities, especially those diagnosed with poor circulation, bone infections, pressure ulcers, radiation injuries from cancer treatment, and complications from surgery, as well as hard to heal wounds compounded by diabetes. The center is Accredited by the Undersea Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the treatment of Medicare approved diagnoses. Candidates would be required to obtain Hyperbaric Oxygen certification.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
