General Cardiology Faculty Opportunity:

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health), Galveston, Texas, seeks a General Faculty Cardiologist to join its academic cardiology practice. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our growing cardiology program and will work with 20 other academic cardiologists in a well-managed, robust, academic cardiology practice. The program and the Division of Cardiology enjoy the excellent infrastructure of UTMB Health and are strongly supported by its institutional leadership. The Division is a professional home for 15 general cardiologists, three heart failure, and two interventional cardiology fellows. The Division strives to create and maintain a positive, stable, and efficient work environment. The successful candidate must also be willing to mentor residents, fellows, and medical students who will rotate through the program. 

The successful candidate should be board certified or eligible in ABIM and will have completed a General Cardiology Fellowship program. They must also be able to obtain a valid Texas state medical license. Expertise in conducting clinical research trials is a plus but not required.

Senior Cardiologist Faculty Opportunity:

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health), Galveston, Texas, seeks a faculty cardiologist at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level with at least 15 years of experience and a desire to practice in a clinical outpatient only cardiology practice (no call/no weekends). This position will support the needs of the Galveston community by performing cardiology clinics at our Galveston location. This position can be modified to include in-patient duties or ECHO reading but this is not required. 

A generous base salary is offered for each and is based upon Academic rank and experience with an obtainable RVU bonus program. Additional benefits include; a relocation allowance, a superior family benefits program, and an unsurpassed state retirement program.
