North Star Lodge (NSL), Yakima Valley Memorial’s cancer care center, is seeking a BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician to join our growing team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers. Yakima Valley Memorial has a strong and well-established oncology program that has provided oncology care to the greater Yakima Valley for over 40 years.

NSL is one of two practices in Washington State to participate in the Oncology Care Model, a pilot program through CMS assessing value-based care in Oncology. This work has been instrumental in helping us to improve care through metric driven feedback and alignment with other practices throughout the United States. NSL is a CoC-accredited facility with Radiation Oncology, a robust Clinical Trials program, a specialty Pharmacy, and a 21-chair Infusion Center - all under the same roof. Additionally, our center is well resourced with financial advocates and RN navigators, a referrals team, social workers, oncology certified dietitians, a cancer registry, and genetic counselors. NSL also enjoys generous support from our local foundation to fund unfunded mandates in cancer care. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including malpractice with tail coverage, CME, Medical/Dental/Vision, LTD, Life/AD&D. And insurance benefit eligibility starts on the first day of employment!

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine (MD or DO); completion of and ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship training program in Hematology/Oncology
  • BC/BE in Oncology /BC/BE in Hematology
  • Washington State Medical License; DEA registered in WA State/Valid NPI
  • American Heart Association BLS or ACLS
