Northwell Health Department of Behavioral Health is recruiting a full-time board certified psychiatrist to be the Director, Resident Mental Health Program located on Long Island and virtually via Tele-Health. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills who have a leadership passion and drive to develop innovative strategies to support current trainees.

This is a unique opportunity to direct the development, enhancement, and expansion of the Resident Mental Health Program. This program is comprised of Psychiatrists and Psychologists, who provide confidential mental health services to support the well-being of residents and fellows currently training at Northwell Health. The Director will work with service-line leadership, the Health System at-large, and regionally in the field of Physician Well-Being to ensure the highest quality services are provided to trainees.

Responsibilities include: Clinical duties such as evaluations, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy and supervision; program development; referral management; program visibility and outreach; process improvement; regulatory compliance. In addition, the leader will work to manage revenue and expenditures to ensure financial viability of program. 

Candidate must have an MD or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine and completion of Psychiatry Residency with Board Certification required. Candidate must be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
