Responsibilities
Join YNHHS our Occupational Health and Wellness Services Team (led by a board-certified Occupational Medicine Physician) on a full-time basis! This weekday position is located at the state-of-the-art Pequot Health Center in Groton, CT with some cross-coverage at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.
Our system-wide Occupational Medicine team consists of board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners with specializations in occupational medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Nurses, physical therapists, and exercise physiologists also assist in the treatment and care of work-related injuries and illnesses.
Qualifications
The physician will be required to perform pre-placement and periodic surveillance examinations on patients and to evaluate employees with work-related injuries, illnesses, or exposures. The Physician will work collaboratively with co-workers and other health care professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care and efficient clinic operations. The Physician will also review charts related to the physician assistant and nurse practitioner care.
