The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking a full-time Senior Bioinformatician to support a growing data analytics and bioinformatics initiative.

In this role, you will be responsible for building programs using computational formulas to determine outcomes based on biological research and for building and maintaining data analytics pipelines for highly complex molecular and proteomic analyses. You may develop software, creating query routines and building relational databases. You will also support pipelines for curation and reporting of massively parallel sequencing results for both somatic and germline variants and development of appropriate databases.

We are a CLIA-licensed, CAP-accredited, state-of-the-art, semi-automated, LEAN-processed, clinical laboratory This position includes recommendation of a faculty appointment at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth at a rank commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

A PhD degree in the field of bioinformatics, computational biology or quantitative biology is strongly preferred. All candidates must be familiar with genomic testing, especially as it relates to oncology and inherited disorders. Experience with CLIA regulations and CAP guidelines is mandatory, specifically with regards to informatics and data/variant analysis. Experience in core programming languages including R and Python is essential with extensive expertise in population genomics and cancer genomics databases. Experience in database development is essential while knowledge of machine learning and AI is favored.
