Job Details
As a physician with Providence Connections Palliative Care, you'll join an established interdisciplinary care team providing inpatient consult service at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in southwest Portland. In this role, you'll be working closely with nurses, social workers and specialists while caring for patients with life-limiting illness. Successful candidates will have completed a Hospice and Palliative fellowship program and be board-certified through AAHPM. Providence Connections Palliative Care is part of a growing, integrated Home and Community Services program which collaborates with Hospice, Home Health and Geriatrics as well as community-based practitioners to care for patients and their families. - Full-time at 1.0 FTE, 5 days per week - Monday to Friday, daytime hours - Interdisciplinary care team of physicians, registered nurses, social workers and chaplains - Collaborative relationships with referring physicians - This role is largely located at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, though will be expected to float to other locations/hospitals/clinics on occasion - Guaranteed salary, quality incentive, and CME funds & hours - Relocation assistance available

This interdisciplinary group helps patients and their families find needed resources to control symptoms associated with their illness and maximize quality of life, all while providing compassionate support. Teams of physicians, nurse practitioners, Palliative Care nurses, clinical social workers and chaplains work collaboratively with all members of patients' care teams to provide holistic care.
