Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) and Saint Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC) are seeking a Chief to Lead the Cancer Survivorship Program in NJ

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a board-certified Oncologist to join our team with equal time designated to two campuses: Saint Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC) in Livingston, NJ and the NCI-Designated Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) in New Brunswick, NJ. This new full-time position will be charged with establishing and leading a new cancer survivorship program for patients in both regions. This new and unique role also offers opportunity for academic research and clinical trials at our New Brunswick campus, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), the flagship cancer hospital of Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

The physician-led survivorship team would include two Nurse Practitioners as well as Social Workers to manage responsibility for cancer patients’ post-treatment surveillance and unique medical challenges. This program will distinguish cancer care at SBMC and RCINJ by offering patients an even higher level of care post treatment.

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI), is a designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, Saint Barnabas Medical Center (597-bed facility), provides opportunity for strong clinical collaboration as well as opportunities to mentor residents and medical students.

Ideal candidates will be ABIM board-certified in addition to being fellowship trained and board certified in Oncology. Based in Livingston, NJ and New Brunswick, NJ, this location is in close proximity to the famous Jersey Shore and also to NYC and offers excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
