Full-time Inpatient Psychiatry/Medical Director/Teaching Opportunity -  Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)

Danbury Hospital, now part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist/Medical Director for our 22-bed unit. The Director will provide supervision for second year psychiatry residents, a variety of off-shore and University of Vermont medical students, and two Nurse Practitioners. Weekend coverage is paid at an additional per diem rate. Danbury Hospital is located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles outside of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified Psychiatrist with 2-3 years of experience looking to join a long established and collegial group. We offer a newly updated and highly competitive compensation and benefits package, in addition to allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses and relocation stipend. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice Connecticut.

Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year.
