Position: Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Clinical X or HS Clinical Faculty Series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor Level

The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric CardioThoracic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting a board certified, accomplished pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon to join our established program. The preferred candidate will have independent experience successfully performing complex neonatal and pediatric cardiac surgical repairs with experience working collaboratively with cardiac anesthesia, cardiac intensivists, and cardiologists. The position requires full participation in the UCSF Pediatric Heart Center requiring surgical presence at all three hospital sites, Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland as well as Oakland Kaiser. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Responsibilities, in addition to clinical care, will include participation in the Pediatric Heart Center’s quality improvement activities as well as education of trainees. The appointment will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks of the Clinical X or HS Clinical faculty series.

Required qualifications include a California Physician and Surgeons License and board certification in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of three years as an independent Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgical Attending and documented leadership skills for collaborative teaching and research activities.
