The Department of Surgery at Duke University Medical Center, a nationally recognized center of excellence in patient education, research and clinical care is seeking board eligible or certified Vascular Surgeons for two locations in Durham-Duke University Medical Center and Duke Regional Hospital.

The Duke Center for Vascular Diseases offers a multidisciplinary approach along with the latest diagnostic and treatment strategies, and cutting-edge research trials. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to the scholarly academic mission and embrace the clinical, academic and teaching opportunities available at Duke University Medical Center. Candidate must be proficient in both advanced open and endovascular therapies.

The Department of Surgery is also seeking a Vascular Surgeon to expand vascular services with a focus on dialysis access and limb salvage at Duke Regional Hospital (DRH), a part of the Duke University Health System. This position also provides the opportunity for a robust academic career. The ideal candidate will have vascular surgery experience in the full spectrum of dialysis access surgery, both open and endovascular procedures. There is a full dialysis access-oriented clinic 1 block from the hospital with on-site IAC-accredited vascular lab and a dialysis access coordinator nurse practitioner. This practice serves all nephrologists in the Triangle area and draws complex patients from an approximate 200-mile radius.

Duke Regional is 369-bed acute care hospital and was the highest ranked community hospital in North Carolina according to US News and World Report. It is located in Durham, NC, approximately 3 miles from the Duke University Hospital.
